Day 7

After a great night's sleep, I awoke and looked out my tent flap to find a bright view of the sea. I gathered my change of clothes and headed for the showers. Almost immediately after I had inserted my two quarters and turned on the water, and announcement came that there were Orcas abeam of the ship. I finished my shower as quickly as possible, but they were gone. For lunch there was an all-you-can-eat buffet, but I can only eat so much pork and beans. I read a Batman comic book which I had borrowed from Leo, a fellow from work with unusual hair. It was one of those extra long ones-about 100 pages. It was good, so I read the whole thing. As we proceeded through the straights and sounds, the passageways grew narrower, and I was better able to see the shore. I managed to catch a couple of bald eagles on videotape, but couldn't get the camera out quickly enough for a porpoise. As the night ended, I sat on a thick pile of ropes and played my guitar.
