This morning I carefully extracted a cereal bowl from the blue cupboard while avoiding the rogue red pan nearby. I ate the rest of my Quaker Oat Squares, and put on my new Asics running shoes. They are much too white, and need to be dirtied up because I bought them just before I left for Israel.

I drank a lot of water, tucked my keys and a 50 shekel bill in my pocket, and left the house around noon. For an hour and a half I ran around the local neighborhood streets in the bone dry afternoon sun. By the end of the outing, I was dehydrated and alternating between walking and running. Privately, I resolved to run during a cooler part of the day next time. As I neared the apartment, I found a grocery store and stopped in to buy the following items:
The bananas here are much smaller than the ones I'm used to in the Unites States.

It was good to finally get some exercise after almost none at all for two weeks. The sun had drained much of my energy for the day, and I fell asleep until dinnertime. That evening I returned to the place where I ate Chicken Kashmir a few days ago, and ordered it again.
It feels weird to drive without a knob on the gear shift.
